Oregon Fuels Association Joins WPMA

OREGON FUELS ASSOCIATION JOINS WPMA

MURRAY, UT. — The Oregon Fuels Association, the state's association of fuel distributors, retailers, commercial fueling and heating oil marketers, has elected to join the Western Petroleum Marketers Association as a member state, effective as of January 1, 2020.

"I would like to welcome Oregon to the WPMA," said WPMA President Dennis Campo, Campo & Poole, Fruitland, ID. "I am positive that Oregon will bring a lot of info to the association to support the future growth and strength of the WPMA."

As part of the alliance, OFA President Matt Truax, Truax Corporation, Corvallis, OR., and Vice President Gabe Zirkle, WSCO Petroleum Corp., Portland, OR., will join the WPMA Board of Directors. The Oregon leadership will continue to work with Danelle Romain and her team at The Romain Group as the state's legislative advocates.

"WPMA welcomes all OFA members to the association," said Gene Inglesby, WPMA executive director. "We look forward to working with them. It will help diversify networking opportunities for our members. Our combined efforts will strengthen our associations and we will be able to work together on policy issues and to be more effective for the future."

"The timely nature that the WPMA Board of Directors and state associations granted the OFA inclusion to the WPMA is appreciated," said Truax. "We look forward to the opportunities of working with our neighboring state associations. The sharing of information both regionally and nationally will bring tremendous benefits to our own marketers and associate members. OFA members have business and policy experiences that we believe will be useful for our new colleagues with the WPMA."

The OFA is the eighth state association affiliated with WPMA, joining the Hawaii Petroleum Marketers Association, the Idaho Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association, the Montana Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association, the Nevada Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association, the New Mexico Petroleum Marketers Association, the Utah Petroleum Marketers and Retailers Association, and the Washington Oil Marketers Association.
